Button Making Kit Giveaway from Buttons for Change, ABM & You

Buttons for Change

Buttons for Change, funded and fueled by your generosity, is making it possible for 5 deserving organizations to receive a complete button making kit for Christmas.  Each one of these groups will receive a free button maker of their choice along with the matching graphic punch circle cutter, 250 pinback buttons and a full year of our Build-a-Button design software!  The impact of your donations to the program throughout the year will be felt by hundreds big and small eliciting both wagging tails and giant smiles for all.

Here, we share a brief overview of each recipient of your kindness and encourage you to visit their individual sites and continue to show all of the love and support the ABM Family is known for!

First up is ERBA Head Start.  Head Start is a Child Development Program which provides ERBA Head Startcomprehensive educational and health services to preschool children (3-5 years old) of primarily low-income families.  At least 10% of the children served have a disability.  The children receive nutritious meals, breakfast and snacks.  ERBA Head Start also provides a strong Parental Involvement Program to parents. Parents are involved in program planning, operating activities and are eligible to receive cash incentives for completing the GED and/or college classes.  These precious children will now know the joy of creating their own little treasures thanks to you!

Next up, Children's Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.  These great folks are one of the nation’s leading providers of both inpatient and outpatient care for children from birthChildren's Specialized Hospital to 21 years who are facing special health challenges that include everything from chronic illnesses and complex physical disabilities such as brain and spinal cord injuries, to developmental and behavioral issues like autism and mental health. Here pediatric specialists partner with families and patients to help them achieve their goals through both medical treatments and innovative therapies that are tailored to each individual child for a personalized approach with maximum effectiveness.  Making buttons not only allows for the kids to be kids, they also provide badges of honor and encouragement to celebrate milestones, trade and display bringing hope and smiles.

Our third group is Adelante Mujeres in Forest Grove, OR.  Adelante Mujeres provides both Adelante Mujereseducation and empowerment opportunities to low income Latina women and their families to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community.  They work to teach women independence and confidence while preserving pride in their heritage with the belief that a strong community begins with strong individuals who work together for a common good with the ultimate goal of creating a community in which all families thrive.  With buttons they can spread the word and create more awareness for their mission.

Coastal Center for Developmental Services, Inc. believes it's the abilities and not the disabilities that count and that everyone has something to contribute.  With this philosophyQuantum Promotional Printing in mind they work to assist both mentally and physically challenged individuals to find their place in the workforce and live full and vibrant lives.  It begins with assistance to the individual to help well prepare them for inclusion in the workplace and moves on to job placement, onsite job training and long term support.  As a part of their Center for Promotional Printing, CCDS will be making buttons that help companies market their brand while providing meaningful job skills and training for adults with developmental disabilities.  It's a win for everyone!

Save Ohio StaysLast, but most certainly not least, is an amazing organization that puts in some long and sometimes seemingly thankless hours working to save those who can not save themselves and that are truly at the mercy of the kindness of strangers.  All you have to do is ask them and Save Ohio Strays (SOS) in Wadsworth, OH will tell you it is all made worth it with one wagging tail or a slobbery kiss!  This button maker will save countless lives by raising awareness as well as much needed funding.

It's been an amazing year at ABM and we are humbled and honored to be able to help all of these incredible organizations in partnership with all of you.  Thank you to everyone who made this act of kindness possible with your support and generous donations to the Buttons for Change program.  Together we are truly changing the world for everyone, one button at a time!

Until next time.....happy button making!

Hi, Melissa! We proudly provide products through the Buttons for Change program throughout the year. You can read about our many donations and the worthy recipients throughout our Button Blog. As it is a donations driven program, there is not a set schedule for distributions. If you have questions about the program, you are more than welcome to contact us. We are happy to answer your questions and help however we can!
