Button Making FAQs
Do you have button makers with interchangeable dies? Our button machines are size specific (which is the best design) for several reasons. The most important being that button makers with interchangeable dies are not made in the U.S.A. and you’ll have a very hard time finding parts to fit them.
How long will it take to get my order? All in-stock orders are shipped within 48 hours, but most ship the same day they are placed! Orders are shipped via UPS ground can take up to 1 - 5 business days to deliver. If you need your order more quickly, UPS air options and Priority Mail are available.
Do your machines come with any type of warranty? Our machines and graphic punches come with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer defects. We also offer an exclusive Ultimate Extended Warranty that covers user error, wear & tear, neglect, vandalism and a whole host of other tragedies that might befall your beloved button maker.
What type of discount do I get as a returning customer?ABM has a Reward Points Program open to all customers who order online. Use these points to create a discount for your very next online order. They never expire, so let them accrue to apply to a larger bulk supply order, or even your next button maker.
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes, we accept purchase orders from schools and government agencies, offering Net 30 terms.
What if I find a better price somewhere else?
ABM does extensive research to make sure we always have the best prices on the products we sell and we back it with our Best Price Guarantee. If you find a better price published on a competitor's website, just let us know.
I am with a non-profit group. Can I get a discount?Yes! ABM's Buttons For Change program was created with non-profit groups in mind. Click here to apply for assistance.
Can I exchange pinbacks for other products included with my Button Maker Kit?
Our button maker kits include pinback button sets and a variety other products to help people get started making buttons. Unfortunately substitutions are not available, but for good reason. If you would rather make refrigerator magnets or some other item, your best option is to keep the pinbacks for practice or trying out new designs instead of wasting higher price components. Test everything on pinbacks first, because they are so inexpensive. Once you have a design perfected, then make the items you want like magnets, mirrors, key chains, bottle openers, etc.
Can I use card stock to make a button? All of our button machines will work spectacularly with regular printer paper. Larger size machines can accept photo paper as well, but card stock is much too thick. We do have Fabric button makers but using card stock in any button maker is definitely a no-no.
Do I need software to design a button?
Unless you're using pre-made designs or fabric, you will need some type of graphic design software. Here is a link that will tell you more about free button making software and also some that is available for purchase. The dimensions needed to successfully make a button design are very specific. Our Build-a-Button software takes all the guesswork out of designing a button.
