Button parts in Badge-a-Minit sizing for the 2.25" or 3" machine you already own. Badge-a-Minit sizing is not American Standard sizing: a 2.25" B.A.M. graphic cuts at 2.750" round and a 3" cuts at 3.377" round. Not sure which machine you have? See how to tell.

Do your parts have another company's name printed on the back?

No. Badge-a-Minit prints their name and phone number on the back of their button parts. Ours are unbranded, so the buttons you make promote your school, business, campaign or organization and nobody else.

Do you have templates or design software for Badge-a-Minit sizes?

Yes. Build-a-Button, our online button design software, includes templates for both 2.25" and 3" Badge-a-Minit sizing, so your artwork comes out at the correct 2.750" or 3.377" cut size without any manual resizing. You are not limited to the software that came with your machine.

What else can I make with my Badge-a-Minit machine?

Same graphic, same press cycle. Only the back piece changes.

With a 2.25" Badge-a-Minit Machine

With a 3" Badge-a-Minit Machine

The ornament and LED kits need a clean hole punched in the shell, which is what the Metal Craft Punch is for.

Badge-a-Minit Sizing vs. American Standard

Badge-a-Minit uses its own sizing specification, slightly different than the American Standard sizing used by nearly every other button machine sold in the United States. The two are not interchangeable in either direction. The difference shows up in the graphic cut size: the diameter your artwork has to be cut to before it goes in the press.

Button Size Badge-a-Minit Cut Size American Standard Cut Size
2.25" 2.750" round 2.625" round
3" 3.377" round 3.125" round

That eighth of an inch is the whole story. Cut a standard 2.625" circle for a Badge-a-Minit press and the paper will not wrap far enough around the shell to lock under the back. Everything on this page is cut and formed to Badge-a-Minit sizing, so it simply works.

Why Buy Your Parts From Us

Your Buttons Advertise You, Not Us

Badge-a-Minit prints their company name and phone number on the back of their parts, so every button you hand out or sell promotes them. Our B.A.M. parts carry no such branding. When somebody asks where the buttons came from, the answer is you.

Smaller Pin Openings

Badge-a-Minit's own backs use a large round hole where the pin is inserted. Ours use a smaller opening, which looks cleaner on the finished button and noticeably reduces the loose movement commonly called pin rattle.

More Finishes, One Supplier

Pinbacks, magnet backs, mirror backs, ornaments, lighted buttons, mylar, punches and the accessories that go with them, all in Badge-a-Minit sizing and all from one place. Made in the USA and covered by our Best Price Guarantee.

Design Graphics for Your Machine

Owning a Badge-a-Minit machine does not mean you have to use Badge-a-Minit software. Our printable templates in PDF, Word and Photoshop and Build-a-Button Lite are free to use, and Build-a-Button memberships run from a single week up to campus-wide access for schools and libraries. Remember to cut to the Badge-a-Minit size (2.750" for a 2.25" machine, 3.377" for a 3" machine), not the American Standard size.

Who Buys B.A.M. Parts From Us

Schools, libraries, churches and nonprofits. A great many Badge-a-Minit machines live in school workrooms and library craft cupboards, bought years ago and still working. We supply the parts for spirit days, summer reading programs, VBS weeks, volunteer appreciation and donor recognition, and we accept institutional purchase orders with quotes and sales tax exemption handled by our team.

Crafters, market vendors and small businesses. If you are selling what you press, two things matter: cost per button and what you can put on the table. Unbranded backs mean the buttons promote your business, and the magnet, mirror and ornament sets give you three more products from artwork you have already designed.

If You Ever Outgrow the Hand Press

Plenty of our customers keep their Badge-a-Minit machine for years and simply buy better-priced parts from us. The one job a hand press genuinely struggles with is photographic prints: photo stock is too heavy to wrap over the edge of the shell. If photo buttons become a regular part of your work, a bench press earns its keep: a finished button in a few seconds, steel dies instead of stacked plastic rings, and a lifetime warranty against defects. Compare button makers when you are ready, and note that ABM machines use American Standard sizing, so you would move to standard parts at that point.

Not sure which machine you have?

Call Team ABM at (972) 985-5074, tell us what the machine looks like and what it says on it, and we will tell you exactly which parts you need. You can also read our guides to finding out what size machine you have and why button makers are not all sized the same way.

Find a lower price on the same B.A.M. supplies and we will match it. See our Best Price Guarantee.
