The 3" Self-Adhesive Magnet Set is the complete four-part supply for making professional 3 inch refrigerator magnets: front shell, clear mylar cover, flat metal back, and a 2-5/8" round peel-and-stick magnet. Every component is built to American Standard sizing and made in the USA for a clean, consistent crimp in your 3" button maker.
The 3" size gives you a full canvas for photos, schedules, and designs meant to be read from across the kitchen. The same ABM 3" Photo Button Maker that presses your pinback buttons presses these magnets, on regular printer paper or thicker photo stock. Sets come in packs of 100, 500, and 1,000.

American Standard Sizing — Why It Matters
These parts are built to American Standard 3" sizing. A 3" magnet measures exactly 76.2 mm. Most foreign-made machines are built to a metric "76 mm" specification — and that fraction of a millimeter is the difference between a magnet that crimps tight and one that jams the die or falls apart. Even though the sizes sound interchangeable, American Standard 3" parts do not typically work in foreign-made 76 mm machines. Badge-a-Minit machines use their own specification as well — see the FAQ below.
If you own an ABM 3" Photo Button Maker or another American Standard 3" press, these sets are designed and tested to run through it consistently, package after package. Not sure what machine you have? Call us at (972) 985-5074 and we will help you identify it before you order.
Use Case Ideas for 3" Magnets
The 3" magnet is the round size people keep on the refrigerator and actually look at — big enough for a photo or a full message. Popular uses include:
- Photo keepsakes. School portraits, team photos, newborn and pet photos, and grandparent gifts — faces stay sharp and recognizable at 3".
- Business and service magnets. Logo, phone number, and website in one place — for contractors, restaurants, salons, and service companies.
- Real estate leave-behinds. Agent headshot and contact details that stay in view long after a business card is filed away.
- Save-the-dates and event favors. Names, date, and venue on a keepsake guests take home.
- Schedules and reminders. Team game days, school calendars, church service times, and appointment reminders.
- School and library programs. Summer reading awards, spirit days, and student artwork families display at home.
- Fundraisers and nonprofits. Donor thank-yous and awareness designs that keep the cause in daily view.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in each 3" magnet set?
Each set contains the four components needed to make one finished magnet: a metal front shell, a clear mylar cover that protects your design, a flat metal back, and a 2-5/8" round self-adhesive peel-and-stick magnet. Your button maker crimps the shell, design, mylar, and back together, then you peel the backing and press the magnet onto the back.
What is the metric size of a 3" magnet?
A 3" magnet measures exactly 76.2 mm in diameter. It is commonly listed as the nominal "76 mm" size, but the parts themselves are built to the American Standard 3" specification — not the metric 76 mm specification used by most foreign manufacturers.
Will these sets work in my foreign-made 76 mm button machine?
Typically, no. American Standard 3" parts (76.2 mm) and foreign-made "76 mm" machines sound like the same size, but the fraction-of-a-millimeter difference prevents a proper crimp — magnets may jam the die or fail to lock together. These sets are designed and tested for the ABM 3" Photo Button Maker and other American Standard 3" presses. If you are not sure what machine you have, call us at (972) 985-5074 before ordering.
Will these sets work in my Badge-a-Minit machine?
No. Badge-a-Minit machines use their own sizing specification, so standard 3" parts will not crimp correctly in them. We carry dedicated supplies made specifically for manual Badge-a-Minit machines in our Badge-A-Minit Supplies collection. If you are unsure which machine you own, call us at (972) 985-5074 and we will help you identify it.
Can I make photo magnets with these sets?
Yes. The ABM 3" Photo Button Maker is built to press regular printer paper or thicker photo stock on the same machine, so you can use these sets for both printed designs and true photographs. Cut your photo to 3.451" with the 3" Graphic/Photo Punch and press as usual.
What size should I print and cut my graphics?
Graphics for 3" magnets must be cut to 3.451" in diameter — the extra material wraps around the shell's edge during pressing. The 3" Graphic/Photo Punch cuts this exact size in standard paper or photo stock, or you can dial it in on the Adjustable Circle Cutter.
