The Metal Craft Punch is a heavy-duty hand punch that makes a clean round hole in metal exactly where you want it: seven hole sizes, in mild steel, aluminum, copper and brass up to 14 gauge.
At ABM it is the tool for adding a hanging hole to button ornaments, a wire hole to earring buttons, and the LED opening for the Red Flashing LED Assembly. It works just as well on any sheet-metal craft or shop job that needs a precise small hole.

Where the Hole Goes
Punch the shell before you press the button, not after. Make the hole in the empty metal shell, then press your graphic and mylar as usual. The hole lands exactly where you placed it and the finished button stays flat and clean.

Do I punch the hole before or after pressing the button?
Before. Punch the empty shell, then press the graphic and mylar. Punching a finished button can crease the mylar and distort the shell.
Is this the same as a punch cutter?
No. A punch cutter cuts round paper graphics to size for your button maker. The Metal Craft Punch makes a small hole in the metal shell for an ornament hook, earring wire or LED.
Does it need a bench or power?
