How Can I Make Money Selling Buttons? Button Making Questions, Ask ABM

Button Making Questions, Ask ABM

How can I make money selling buttons?  This question is more important than ever in today’s very uncertain economic times.  If you’re feeling a little bored looking at the same four walls and needing extra cash, you can have hours of fun by making buttons (and some cash while you’re at it)!!

Fortunately, button making is a fun, entertaining business that can be continued with little or no interruption while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Turning that fun into some extra income is easier than you may think. The two major components to get started are:

  1. A button making kit (button maker, paper cutter, button supplies)
  2. An imagination

Button Making KitAll new businesses have startup cost but button making has one of the lowest.  ABM has made it easy and economical with our complete button making kits.  You get everything you need to start making buttons including the button maker, paper cutter, a starting supply of pinback buttons, Build-a-Button design software, digital graphic downloads and free shipping!  It is a complete business in a box.

You’ll need to make a couple of decisions that will affect which size button making kit you decide to go with. Who is your target customer, or what is your product vision?  You may have a very specific idea on what you’d like to create, or who you’d like to sell to. Two of the most popular sizes to consider are 1.25” and 2.25” buttons due to all of the accessories and versatility. You'll find a helpful article that can help you make your decision in the Button Blog called "What Size Buttons Should I Make?"   There's also an article for "What Can I Make With a Button Maker?"  These are just 2 of the great articles from our Button Making Questions, ASK ABM series designed to help you in your button making journey.  Once you have done your research and made your choices you can let your imagination run wild with design ideas.  You can bring those ideas to life easily with no graphic designer expertise required using Build-a-Button, which is conveniently included in your kit.

Now is a great time to use your button making kit to help out your local small businesses. You can use social media to reach out to a small business and help Bottle Openercreate buttons, key chainsbottle openers or magnets to help create a marketing campaign. You could start a charity initiative for any healthcare workers at your local hospital where a portion of the proceeds go to help those people who are putting themselves in harm’s way to ensure our health and safety.  The possibilities are simply endless!
