American Standard Sizing β Why It Matters
This machine and its supplies are built to American Standard 2.25" sizing. A 2.25" button measures exactly 57.15 mm. Foreign-made and Badge-a-Minit "58 mm" supplies are built to a slightly different specification β and that fraction of a millimeter is the difference between a button that crimps tight and one that jams the die or falls apart. Even though the sizes sound interchangeable, foreign-made 58 mm parts do not typically work in an American Standard 2.25" machine.
